As we continue our series on the perfect blue for a front door, here is another suggestion: Wythe Blue. It is a beautiful, classic blue from Benjamin Moore’s Historical Collection. It was actually the color of the year in 2012! Wythe Blue is a calm blue with a bit of secondary green and gray undertone. It is at 48% light reflective value which makes it super versatile. I don’t love it on large flat walls (just my own opinion, it can be lovely if done correctly and with good lighting) but I do love it on outdoor doors and shutters. I also like it on indoor doors and small spaces.
Wythe Blue is also lovely as an accent color on furniture, beautiful in a bathroom or kitchen. It can also be quite lovely in a dining room with a lot of good sunlight.
What are some of your favorite blues for a front door? Have you used Wythe Blue. I would love to see some pictures of it in your space!
