I have always been drawn to the color orange, especially deep, strong orange hues. The festive color reminds me of Fall, Harvest, Halloween, a new fresh school year.
Orange can also be a wonderful color for our interiors but it can be tricky. Farrow and Ball’s Charlotte’s Locks is one of my favorite and works well in many different spaces. “Charlotte’s Locks takes its inspiration from the flame-red hair of our Head of Creative and brings a playful late 1970s look.”-Farrow and Ball
This kitchen by Enigma Designs is spectacular. Charlotte’s Locks is perfectly paired with a stunning gray. The combination is incredibly striking. I love how they also did the same color orange on the backsplash, drawing your eye across the space.
This spectacular orange works so well in this fun, kid’s bunk space. The rest of the space is done in all white so it really allows the orange to pop on the bunkbeds I think the black and white designs on the sheets are a perfect touch.
What a terrific color choice for a vibrant hallway. Charlotte’s Locks paint done in high gloss makes for a fun and festive space!
Charlotte’s Lock can be a wonderful color for an eating area. I love how these walls are done in half eggshell and half flat for a really pleasing finish. The bright orange chairs and the whimsical roman shades are delightful.
Noushka design is always so creative and fun with her spaces. I love how she placed Charlotte’s Locks as the interior fireplace and also as the background color of the shelves. How wonderfully the orange bounces off the modern pillows and the enchanting gorilla lamp.
Calypso Orange is used on another kitchen island in this modern and sophisticated kitchen. The orange works brilliantly with the black cabinetry and the gray concrete flooring.
Orange can be such a fun color for a front door. I love how Charlotte’s Locks looks against the dark gray bricks.
Charlotte’s Locks is a wonderful backdrop for art. The San Francisco art show used it as one of their colors of choice for wonderful art displays.
Charlotte’s Locks can be marvelous on furniture pieces including this Chinese-style cabinet. I loved how it is done in a spectacular lacquered finish.
Charlotte’s Locks is such a bold, whimsical color. It is also very versatile. I love the hue with dark grays, blacks, and bright whites. I hope you enjoyed some of these examples. Have you used this color in your space? Please share your inspirations!
