Pretty in Pink! The right pink shade is romantically beautiful in home interiors. However, you have to be careful when deciding on just the right shade. When choosing pink, it is best to choose subtle and light. Pink can get really childish if chosen too deep in the color chart. I love this advice from Interior Designer Alexa Hampton, “Always go to the top of the color chip card and get the palest version of what your dreaming of, because even if it looks subtle on the chip, it won’t be subtle on the wall.” Here are a few of my favorite subtle pinks!
Diminutive Pink is a breathtaking and soothing pink by Sherwin Williams. It is warm and gentle pink with a touch of romance. It has an LRV of 76.3% which means it reflects a lot of natural light. I love it in this classy bedroom by Erin Gates paired with glamorous furniture, black gourd lamps and a fabulous black and white rug.
I love this description of this by Allison Hennessey.
Another favorite pink is Blanched Coral. It is a deliciously, warm pink with a high reflective value of 83.05%. I love Benjamin Moore’s description of their beautiful paint color. “Like coral washed by the sea and bleached by the sun, this pale pink with a hint of yellow suggests the ease of a summer day.” I absolutely love it in the above bedroom paired with the lovely blue and whites.
Proposal by Benjamin Moore is a soft and creamy pink. It also has a high LRV of 71.69%. It pairs wonderfully in this bedroom with a crisp white. It is an inviting color and works wonderfully in any bedroom setting.
Intimate White is a gorgeous, subtle pink. It is perfect for a nursery but I can also see it in a small bathroom, laundry room, or even a master bedroom. It is so subtle and classy. It has a nice reflective value at 78.5%. I love the above nursery by Stylish Petite. This color is so rich and fun. I love it paired with the hot pink rug and the pops of blue on the windows. I love Benjamin Moore’s description of their delicious paint color. “This subtle pink fills a space with gentle good feelings. Not too bright, it whispers softly like the refrain from a favorite love song.”
Gentle Butterfly is another subtle yet extremely romantic pink. It has an LRV of 83.12% It is so lovely in this city apartment bedroom by Brooke Gomez. This is what she had to say about this Benjamen Moore pink “I found this romantic, grown-up pale peony pink. Subtle, yet strong enough not to wash out in all the natural light. It’s cheerful in the morning but not too bright at night.”
White Dogwood by Sherwin Williams is a rich pink that pairs so well with the gentle white, airy fabrics by Phoebe Howard. I love her description of White Dogwood, “This pink is very soft and feminine, but it’s not sticky. Pair it with white or metallic surfaces to make it ethereal and inviting.”
What are some of your favorite subtle pinks? I hope this helps if you are looking for ideas for just the right pink shade for your next interior project!
